Lucy Hare
Artist member since 2019
ProToronto, Ontario
Lucy Hare is a visual artist practicing in Toronto, Ontario. Her works are usually intuitively abstracted organic forms and structures, imagined from her discoveries out in the natural world. She graduated with a BFA in Drawing and Painting from OCAD University in 2019, and subsequently balanced working full time with painting. During the pandemic, Lulu started to experiment with creating psychedelic paintings that react to the environments they are shown in, and found that psychedelia was a niche where her work fit nicely. Lately, she has been using mark-making as a process of self-healing, and is working towards a trauma-informed body of work.
Lulu lives and works in Toronto. Her 3 cats keep her up at night but she perseveres. She works part-time in the Adult Tech industry, (which is exactly what it sounds like) which, being part-time, allows her time to paint. She is obsessed with her plants, her rocks, and is most definitely a witch.
